HOW MUCH IS YOUR MIND - WORTH?

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”, are the words of Eleanor Roosevelt. To an extent, the way people treat us is a product of our mindset, nothing more, nothing less. “How much is your mind worth?” is supposed to be a question every man must answer, in one way or the other in life. Whether we answer it or not, every man on the face of the earth a price tag. Some would say that the worth of a man is priceless; of course, it is a statement of fact, but not a statement of truth. The truth is, in as much as we posit that man is priceless, yet not everyman is. The worth of a man is a function of the content of his mind. Some individuals would be worthless just because of the content of their mind. We must understand this that all of our actions, feelings, behaviour – even our abilities – are consistent with the content of our mind. What we have, usually, is what we reflect for others to see. Whether we realize it or not, each of us maintains within the spectrum of...

17 Ways to Safeguard Your Heart

Start With Breakfast Have a low-cholesterol breakfast. Every morning Goldberg and her husband eat breakfast together. “I have a bowl of high-fiber, low-sugar cereal, like Kashi GoLean, with low-fat milk and antioxidant-rich blueberries,” she says. Fiber is filling, and the soluble form―found in oatmeal, beans, fruits, vegetables, and this cereal―can lower cholesterol. Aim for 25 grams of fiber a day. Take a supplement, if necessary. “A healthy diet is still the best way to get your nutrients,” says Goldberg. “A bag of chips washed down with a vitamin isn’t a good solution.” However, she does suggest taking an omega-3 fatty-acid supplement daily if you don’t eat fish regularly. Choose one with the two forms of the acids that aid the heart: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Or twice a week set a goal for having two to three servings of natural omega-3 sources, like a small handful of walnuts or a 3 1/2-ounce portion of salmon. (For those with...

SOME virtues to hang on with...

1. Honesty Honesty is the foundation of any successful relationship. Sometimes it could be tough to be honest, but it is definitely necessary. As the famous saying goes, love is nothing without truth. 2. Respect We all feel hurt when being disrespected, especially by lovers. A relationship goes nowhere in absence of mutual respect. 3. Communication Speak openly, listen truly. Differences lead to conflicts, solve them as soon as they arise, avoiding them will only make things worse. 4. Understanding No one is perfect, accept your lovers as they are, stop expecting how they should be. Everyone has ups and downs, understand and help your lovers to go through their bad times.

the diary of an ALIEN

We should understand by now that we are aliens here on earth, and our purpose is what we have to discover, talk, walk, leave monuments of impact, and then will enjoy rest. Our position on earth is transitory classified. We only have a duty to perform, like we all know, when purpose is not known abuse is inevitable by all means. Funny enough, this principle apply to every aspect of our lives. To this end, I would say that when a man does not understand and know his purpose in life, two things are bound to happen; he would abuse himself and more so, abuse everything that he encounters, yet not take responsibility for them, rather would blame God and nature. This has caused so many frictions in life, who can tell. The truth is you can not actually tell what your life entails until you know the purpose for which your life is made, which will you an organized thought pattern, simplified life style. By this I would reflect that “you can not under estimate the unimportance of practically ...
