When parents observe that the children are turning into teanagers, they gradually change from being authoritative to being negotiative with the use of sound and superior arguments. With that mutual respect is gradually developed over time.
In the same vein, when the Pioneer Leader, in his relationship with the players of the leadership cycle, recognizes that his instructions will be challenged, moves from being authoritative to employing the use of sound and superior arguments in order to drive home his points.
